  1. Discounts!!! Wherever you go ANYWHERE ask if they have a student discount, a lot of different places offer student discounts.

  2. Biking is by far the best and cheapest way for us students to get around so we recommend you getting a bike earlier rather than later.

  3. Grocery stores in Sweden might be a bit expensive, when it comes to groceries but here's a list of cheapest to most expensive stores: Lidl, Willys, ICA Maxi, ICA, City Gross, Hemkop, Coop.

  4. If you're looking to buy some of the books for your courses check out the second hand bookstore, they might have the book you're looking for.

  5. Refresh excel skills, excel is used quite a bit so refreshing your skills will only help.

  6. Don't forget High school chemistry, seeing as one of your first courses is General Chemistry is good to remember all your high school chemistry as it's quite similar in material.

  7. Bring your own lunch to campus, buying lunch at campus can get quite expensive so we recommend bringing your own lunch from home. Also, at campus there are multiple student kitchens (studentkök in Swedish) with refrigerators to leave your food during class and microwaves to heat up your food!

  8. We trust that you will be responsible when drinking, however a hangover is sometimes inevitable so remember to stay hydrated and take a Resorb tablet in a cup of water after your night out.

  9. We do not encourage drinking, but we want you to avoid uncomfortable situations. We want you to know that in Sweden to be able to buy alcohol you need to be 20 years old and there is a specific store to buy it from called Systembolaget.

  10. Check out Navitas for some nice second hand stuff, it's much cheaper than any other place in Linkoping.
